The first thing to know is that there is no separate visa to enter Palestine – you will need to get a tourist visa from Israel on arrival. As of January 1st, 2025, anyone traveling to Palestine must complete an Electronic Travel Authorization form before departure.

Participants can also choose to stay with a host family, enabling complete immersion into local life. The next key consideration is budgeting for your study. Things to consider are tuition fees, accommodation, travel costs, and daily expenses. Safety & Local Etiquette

Contrary to what you might hear in the news, life for internationals in Palestine is incredibly safe. Something to consider when planning to volunteer in Palestine is covering costs. One of these costs will be the fees for your volunteer program. Make sure to check what your organization of choice covers within their program fees. At Engage in Palestine, your fees cover:

• Secure, modern, and fully-equipped accommodation close to the Center and Hebron’s main Ein Sara street for the duration of your stay.
• Three hours of Arabic class per week to help you speak with local people and get around in Palestine (unless you are studying Arabic as your main program with us).
