The Palestinian legal system borrows components from Muslim customary/common law (those laws associated with Sharia Law) as well as from Ottoman, British, Jordanian and Egyptian law and from Israeli military law. Finally, the Palestinian community also refer to something called Arabic Rights which are considered “traditional” and which contain elements of the aforementioned laws from different periods.

Duration Of The Online Course

• The lessons will take place over four days (lessons can be taken sequentially or in a staggered fashion). 

• Each lesson lasts for two hours (including a 10 minutes break).

• Students in the departments of Law, Legal Studies, Human Rights, International Law, Criminal Law, Comparative Law, Political Science and related subjects.

• Participants will be provided with the text of all of the presentations, as well as any pictorial or video material related to the topic.
