There are over 17,500 programs hosted by the Go Overseas site, and it is a great honor and achievement for The Excellence Center to be recognized as one of the top 3 Volunteer Abroad providers.
Why Did Go Overseas Award the Excellence Center/Engage in Palestine?
Companies everywhere work hard to improve and change the world for the better. Many of these companies allow volunteers to join them from abroad on their mission, which becomes a powerful opportunity to change the world. It can also be difficult for volunteers to know which providers offer the best experience across all the important areas that affect the volunteer experience. This can make it difficult to choose a suitable volunteering program. Go Overseas has a team of reviewers who rate each program across selected categories, and awards are presented based on the overall scoring of a program within all the relevant categories and criteria.
The Excellence Center/Engage in Palestine had top scores across all of the categories that the reviewers were asked to rate, making it one of the top volunteer abroad providers from 2021.

Top Language Schools of 2021 for Instruction and Fun: Due to our inclusive and open environment inside and outside the classroom, our volunteers have named us as one of the most enjoyable and fun schools to learn Arabic! We are also highly regarded for the quality of the instruction received by learners at the Excellence Center.

Go Overseas believes that learning a language abroad should be a fun experience, and they ask every reviewer to tell them how much fun they had overseas for almost every program they rate on their site. Reviewers are asked to rate the social scene of their language school.ย
The quality of the instruction is also of utmost importance. We know that language learning is a complex process and that it is different for every language learner. Some students want to gain fluency, whereas others are looking for enough to get by on their next trip. Therefore, language schools need to meet various student needs, and it can be difficult to do a great job for everyone.ย
The Excellence Center achieved consistently high scores from program reviewers, which shows that it met the needs of its students, volunteers, and visitors, offering an exceptional experience.ย

At Engage in Palestine, you can take Arabic courses at any level, from Starter to Advanced. You can join immersive classes in Palestine, participate in summer or winter intensive programs, or take lessons online. Youโll learn Levantine Arabic (Ammiya or Shami), the Palestinian dialect, or Modern Standard Arabic, all with experienced Palestinian teachers guiding you.
Our Arabic programs are designed to fit your schedule, so you can start and finish whenever it works best for you. Choose from super-intensive courses with 30+ hours per week, intensive courses with 20 hours per week, or regular classes at 10 hours per week. Youโll combine focused Arabic learning with a rich experience of Palestinian culture, all available year-round.

Engage In Palestine is excited to invite you to join our short-term volunteer and internship programs in the West Bank for 2026 and 2027. You can get involved in areas like Palestinian human rights, advocacy for children and women, journalism and media, teaching English, sports, healthcare, refugee support, and learning about the culture, politics, law, and history of Palestine and Israel.

Our Human Rights Program
Engage In Palestine is committed to helping you experience the realities of life in the West Bank. By connecting you with local communities, your participation helps amplify the voices and stories of Palestinians.
In our Human Rights Volunteer Program, youโll explore human rights issues firsthand, visit families, villages, NGOs, and Palestinian community centers, and take part in advocacy and community initiatives. Along the way, youโll immerse yourself in Palestinian culture, language, and traditions.
