What Language Is The Program Run In?

When You Arrive In Hebron, Palestine

Before deciding on a schedule, volunteers will be welcomed at the Center. They will be given orientation about Hebron and Palestinian culture, including both Arabic language classes and an introduction to Palestinian culture.

In order for you to be as involved as possible in the Palestinian community and culture, the Center will provide you with accommodation with a Palestinian host family who will help you acclimate and assist with any issues that might arise. Male volunteers may instead choose to stay at a very nice shared apartment

After introducing the Palestinian culture and life, you will get to decide what kind of activities to develop and present to your students. These will be based on your individual knowledge and topic interest, your field of specialty, and your level of experience & skills on the subject of Environmental Conservation.

Arabic Classes For Program Participants

All of our international volunteers and interns receive 3 hours of Arabic classes per week (or 12 hours per month) with a skilled and knowledgeable Palestinian teacher. These lessons are suitable for all levels of Arabic, whether you are a beginner or advanced.
